One of the most well done blackgaze records I’ve heard in a while. Nothing remotely on the end of post-black or anything, but this holds up extremely well as a solid melodic and more technical blackgaze/atmo black album. I’m honestly surprised this managed to capture my attention so much, normally blackgaze that goes very far off the end of trve black metal tends to turn me off, but this seems like it knew it’s place and tried it’s best to capture the best that it’s respective genre has to offer, rather than trying to get super fancy with extra details no one cares about (although the piano segments were nice). I appreciate this, we definitely need more albums in this genre that don’t try to blow you away with absurd ideas and just stick to the basics and execute them really well.
