One of the freshest takes on old school dungeon synth I’ve heard in a while. The synths are archaic as fuck, but it has that sleek modern production job, that manages to get rid of any of the lofi fuzz. This album is at it’s strongest when it sounds like a quaint trip through an elven forest, wandering the woods without a care in the world. The black ambient sections with vocals are kinda iffy however, but they don’t make up the majority of the album. I especially love the samples and spoken word sections towards the beginning, I’m a huge sucker for innocent sounding fantasy movie samples in dungeon synth. Good album, I like how it managed to make itself totally worth it’s run time, even with it’s flaws.
